Help for carers

Caring for someone is a big responsibility and it is important to take some time off to focus on your own health and wellbeing. But you don’t have to struggle alone. Country Health Connect can help you take a break or attend appointments knowing that your loved ones are receiving good quality care through our respite services.

Help in your loved one’s home

Our expert staff can come directly to your loved one’s home and give you a much-needed break from your caring role, while allowing your loved ones to take some time for themselves. We have options to cater to both short stays or longer periods, whatever suits your needs.

Help in day centres

Country Health Connect has centres in many locations where your loved ones can spend some time with others, enjoying their company and experiencing new activities and hobbies such as:

  • cooking classes
  • outings and movie trips
  • arts and crafts
  • picnics in the park
  • drumming, chi ball and gardening
  • navigating technology using computers and hand-held devices
  • exercise activities and health and fitness tips

Help in overnight cottages

Country Health Connect can provide a residential stay for your loved one in one of our cottages, where they are cared for in a safe and secure environment, including transport to take them to a comfortable home away from home. Meals are provided, and activities occur throughout the day to keep everyone active and engaged.

There are times you may be asked to contribute towards the cost of a respite service, which will be determined based on the services your loved one needs and their eligibility for financial assistance from the Australian or South Australian governments.

If you or your loved ones would like to find out more about our respite services call 1800 944 912.
