Accessing help early in a child’s development can make all the difference.
Country Health Connect offers a range of children’s services for children from birth to seven years through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), as well as other services for children with developmental needs.
Our services for children are family oriented, supporting children to grow and develop to their full potential with tailored and evidence-based approaches.

Children’s services provided through the National Disability Services Scheme (NDIS)
As a registered NDIS provider, Country Health Connect will bring your NDIS plan to life by working with you to understand your goals, needs and preferences.
We are flexible and can provide services in a location that best supports your child or family. We tailor our services to meet your individual needs and can support you one-on-one, or in a group program.

We make efforts to learn about your family and your child’s needs, so we can develop a holistic and sustainable plan. Our teams are comprised of professionals with expertise in:
- communication skills
- movement and gross motor skills
- self-care and independence support (personal grooming, dressing, sleeping)
- play and social interaction skills
- fussy eating and nutrition advice
- parenting support and other family needs.
Our teams include speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers and dietitians. We can also refer you to our podiatry services or continence nurses, or for orthotics and prosthetics needs.
In addition, we have a network of paediatricians available if your child has complex medical, developmental or disability needs. Your coordinator will work closely with these services and can facilitate referrals if necessary.
Other services for children with developmental needs
For families who are not eligible for the NDIS, Country Health Connect has a range of services available to support you if your child has developmental needs until they turn seven years of age.
If your child has health or medical needs, we are able to assist, and if these are ongoing after they turn seven years old we will ensure your child receives the necessary support from our service to meet those needs.
Our services can be provided in your home, in our clinics, through telehealth video calls or in community locations such as child care centres, kindergartens and schools. We tailor our services to meet your needs and can see your child individually or in a group program.
Following a planned period of support, if your child needs ongoing care or therapy we will help work out the next steps:
- staying with us and working on your goals
- helping you access other services
or
- helping you apply to NDIS for ongoing support and funding.
